Mollie May Montana

My two dogs are considered two of my best friends. Our small family had several animals growing up but Mollie and Vada are our most recent. My parents took in Mollie 15 years ago and 7 years ago i bought Vada but had to let her stay at my parents a few years back when i didn't have a backyard. Mollie and Vada have been inseparable ever since. Vada (left) is spoiled rotten and walks around with a princess attitude. Mollie (right) was always more laid back but lived up to a black Lab's characteristics: energetic, loyal, and fun loving. I wonder who is going to take it the hardest - our family or Vada?

When anyone you love dies it is a tragic event even if you are expecting it. When your own dog dies it just as tragic. My mom has been avoiding this day for awhile now because she refused to be the one to take her to the vet. I knew my dad could never do it himself and I couldn't bare the pain of seeing Mollie in discomfort any more - so i did.

I don't know what's worst: the days that lead up to today, driving to the vet, the moments at the vet, or the days after.
