The happiness of most people is not ruined by great catastrophes or fatal errors, but by the repetition of slowly destructive little things. ~Ernest Dimnet
This is so true! With one great blow, it seems that we can pick ourselves up and begin to rebuild, but with the slow and painful etching away of our souls, we are left with nothing! It is the repetition of such agonizing things that leads to the loss of happiness and the emptiness of giving up.
