Today was my official first day packing - no turning back!
I don't know why this is so hard for me, i do it at least once every two years. To be honest, once i started packing i couldn't seem to find a stopping point. Usually i have my mom here to help with the process and tell me where to start but this time i just started and it may have not been the most productive or organized way of doing it - but at least I'm starting.
I packed up three extra large boxes of clothes i will be giving away - that was the best feeling! So wish me luck on the rest of my packing practices and if you have any advice - I'm all ears!

Okay first off, I'm a big fan of detailed organization when packing! So...specifically mark every box. For example, I will mark 'Kitchen' on the box then do brief lists under that such as 'Pots, Pans, & Tupperware'(truth be told I even color coordinate my markers as to which category-kitchen, misc., office...). It takes some time, but saves tons of time when choosing what, when, and where to unpack everything!
Also, I like to tackle rooms at a time beginning with the rooms that have the most that I do not need to use regularly. For example, the kitchen is a hard place to start because you will need those coffee mugs until the last day of moving!
Kudos on the clothes giveaway! Now is a fabulous time to begin getting rid of a lot. Moving makes for an easy time of seeing what you actually use and what will just be sitting in storage for months on end, so clean/organize/pack simultaneously and you will be happy you did so! Good luck!

Im actually really good at labeling my boxes for a smoother transistion but my problem is i never know when to start. I made the mistake of starting in the kitchen and then i threw my hands up after one box and moved on to decor and then my closet! So it ended nicely but i may wait for help with the kitchen. That is all going to go to storage, anyway.
And, WOW, i just posted this! Are on top of it today! LOL
On top of it or in a town where there's not much else to do but wait for someone to post something? Hmmmm...! Wish I could be there, but I've got some crazy stuff going on here. For example, my nephew is here and holy jeez is he cute! Seriously, he cracks me up & he says my name! Love it. I also have to figure out where to live because I'm getting an internship here which is G-R-E-A-T! Yay! And lastly-I seriously thought you knew the LA person because they're all over my blog too! So...here's hoping they say hello! Love it!
